The Ryugyong Hotel is a pyramid-shaped skyscraper that looks more like a giant missile. The Ryugyong Hotel first started construction in 1987 and was targeted to be completed in 1989. This hotel is the tallest building in North Korea with a height of 1,080 feet and located in Pyongyang, the capital city of North Korea.

But unfortunately, the hotel has never accommodated a single guest since it was built in 1987. It is because this hotel was never officially opened. There were rumors that the hotel was scheduled to make an inauguration, but it has always failed and been postponed until now.

2. No makeup allowed

As a country free from colonialism and dictatorship, we are free to beautify ourselves as best we can. On the other hand, in North Korea, the citizens are prohibited from putting on excessive make-up or even just putting on everyday make-up. Another shocking fact about North Korea is they have a pleasure squad that can entertain North Korean political elites such as the president and other political circles. An agent will search for a young woman around North Korea that fits the standard as a pleasure squad member. These women must be perfect from the inside out, and their family background matters too. These women will be deployed throughout Kim Jong Un's resorts to serve him or the politicals as masseurs, waiters, singers, or even to have sex with them. 4. No religious faith allowed

If you live in North Korea, you can't have any religious faith. It is because, in North Korea, the leader is their god. Some more, you must follow all the rules that those leaders made, even though it's doesn't make sense or cannot explain by logic. People who violate will be given severe punishments or even the death penalty. North Korean people are also obliged to worship their leaders' statues and glorify their leaders just as glorify God. When Kim Jong Un decided to marry Ri Sol-Ju, all of her friends and people who knew her were executed so that no one would find out about Ri Sol-Ju's personal life in the past.

7. Kim-Il Sung was the first dictator

Way before Kim Jong-un become the leader of North Korea, the dynasty of North Korea leader was start in 1948. After the Second World War, it was agreed that Korea would remain a free and independent nation. In 1945, Korea was divided into Soviet and American spheres. Where the North is a communist leadership style, and the South is a democratic leadership style. Kim Il-sung was the first dictator of North Korea. He led North Korea from 1948 to 1994. His leadership has ended in 1994 since he got a heart attack and died. During his leadership period, Kim Il-sung led North Korea into deep isolation from even its former communist allies.
