It turns out that lack of sleep is one factor that causes obesity in adolescents and the elderly. Did you know that not getting enough sleep can affect the body's processing of carbohydrate storage in the body? Obviously, sleep could maintain the hormone ghrelin, which makes us hungry, and the hormone leptin keeps us feeling full. If you don't get enough sleep, the ghrelin hormone will increase while the leptin hormone will decrease, causing you to feel hungry and eat a lot of food like crazy.

For those in a weight loss program or avoiding weight gain, it would be great if you have enough sleep and avoid staying up late.

2. To Make Your Metabolism Stronger

Dr. Handrawan Nadesul, a health motivator, said that your immune and metabolism would increase if you have enough sleep. Your body will pull out a compound known as cytokines when you fall asleep. This compound will protect against inflammation and infection, which gives protection to your immune system. Otherwise, if you don't have enough sleep, your body will not pull out the compound to protect your immune system. A researcher proves that people who sleep less than 7 hours per day will make the body susceptible to viruses and disease.

When you are sick and see the doctor, the doctor might give you a suggestion to take a rest, isn't it? That is to fasten your recovery process. From this, we know that enough sleep is good for our health.

3. Bring You a Good Mood

It will make you feel like you are not taking a bed for days. In fact, people who are sleep deprived pretend to be less productive with ongoing activities such as being lazy at school or not enthusiastic about completing work in the office. Someone like this usually takes a longer time to complete their job because of difficulty concentrating and enduring excessive sleepiness.
