1. Dubai's population
In the early 1700s, Dubai was a small fishing village and pearl diving. At the end of the 18th century, there were around 1,200 people who lived in Dubai.
But, today, there are around 3.3 million people living in Dubai. However, only 15% of Dubai's population are Emirates, while the other 85% are expatriates.
Most of the expatriates have come from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. They are workers to build Dubai's hundreds of Skyscrapers. As a result, more than 50% of the population in Dubai are foreigners. If you go to Dubai, don't be surprised if you see many Indians, Pakistanis, and Bangladeshis.
